Firefighters battle blaze at two-storey home in Barrie

Barrie firefighters knocked down a blaze Tuesday afternoon at a two-storey home on Looker Drive, in the area of Essa Road and Ferndale Drive South.

Crews were called to the residence around 3:20 p.m. where they found smoke billowing from the second floor.

Deputy Fire Chief Carrie Clark told Barrie 360 that nobody was home at the time and there were no injuries.

Clark added there was no damage total.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
