Former Barrie Colt, Kyle Clifford, traded to Maple Leafs with goalie Jack Campbell
Leafs give up Trevor Moore and two draft picks
The Toronto Maple Leafs have cut a deal with the Los Angeles Kings they hope will shore up their back-up goaltending woes.
Following Wednesday night’s 5-3 loss to the New York Rangers, the Leafs picked up goaltender Jack Campbell and forward Kyle Clifford for forward Trevor Moore and a couple of draft picks.
Campbell was among a group of goaltenders expected to be traded before the NHL trade deadline. He is 8-10-2 this season with a 2.85 goals-against average and .900 save percentage.
Let’s go #LeafsNation!! Excited to be coming home. @MapleLeafs
