Former County Warden and Mayor of Penetanguishene eyes Mayor's chair in Barrie

Former Simcoe County Warden and Mayor of Penetanguishene, Gerry Marshall, has been hitting the streets of Barrie in recent weeks, talking with residents and business people, and getting a feel for issues they feel are important.

And thinks he can make a difference as mayor.

Marshall handed in his paperwork yesterday.

A resident of Barrie, Marshall thinks his forward-thinking visionary style, along with his experience with the county and Penetanguishene would serve the city well.

Two others are also in the running, Alex Nuttall and Rob Haverson.

Natalie Harris bowed out of the race this week.
