Ontario Provincial Police have charged four people in connection with a drug investigation that began last October.
Provincial police say they began rounding up suspects Feb. 5 and seized a gun and drugs.
The investigation remains on going.
Charges have been laid against:
A 31-year-old from Innisfil:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine)
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine)
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (opioid other than heroin)
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
- Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
- Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
- Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
- Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
- Careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition.
A 46-year-old from Springwater Township:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine)
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (opioid other than heroin)
- Careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm.
A 50-year-old from Springwater Township
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine)
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (opioid other than heroin)
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm
- Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
- Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
- Careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition.
A 27-year-old from Barrie
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine).
Police say two suspects were held for a bail hearing while the other two accused were released from custody on an undertaking and will appear later in court.
