Thanksgiving Weekend at Friday Harbour

Before the Halloween fun begins, the resort a welcomes autumn with a full weekend of Thanksgiving festivities from October 10–13, including:

  • A Thanksgiving-themed dinner (Oct. 10 to 13, 5 to 9 PM)
  • A Festive Lunch Buffet (Sunday, Oct. 12, 10 AM to 3 PM)
  • A Farmers Market Edition of the Harvest Market (all weekend, 10 AM to 3 PM)
  • Family games, a Turkey Trot obstacle race, and beach campfires hosted by the recreation team

Hallowalk: A haunted trail through the woods

Step into the shadows … if you dare. The Hallowalk returns this fall, transforming the Nature Preserve into a haunted Halloween trail. It will be filled with glowing pumpkins, eerie lights, and ghostly surprises around every bend. Guests will wander through themed zones along a lit forest path starting at Friday Drive and Hickory Lane, where witches, skeletons, and woodland spirits come to life.

Dates: October 10–12, October 17–19, October 24–26, and October 31–November 1
Time: 6 PM to 9 PM (New twilight experience from 5 PM to 6 PM)

This immersive trail combines the beauty of the woods with Halloween thrills, making it one of Simcoe County’s most unique autumn experiences.

Haunted Harbour: Trick-or-treat fun on the promenade

On Saturday, October 25, Friday Harbour’s Promenade turns into a festive waterfront village filled with Halloween spirit. Kids can trick-or-treat at participating shops, while families enjoy crafts, face painting, a scavenger hunt, roaming characters, and a costume contest.

Activities: Trick-or-treating, crafts, games, and Halloween-themed fun for all ages

Addams Family Halloween Dinner & Dance at Friday Harbour

When night falls on October 31, the celebration moves indoors to the Lake Club Restaurant for an evening inspired by everyone’s favorite spooky family. 

The Addams Family Halloween Dinner & Dance on Friday, October 31 features:

  • A festive three-course prix-fixe menu
  • A Halloween photo booth
  • A costume contest
  • Live DJs and a late-night dance party

It’s the perfect way for adults to celebrate Halloween in style with great food, music, and a touch of mischief.
