Frigid Evening in Barrie Set a New Record
The Cold Overnight Low Broke a Record That Stood Since 1932
It wasn’t just cold in Barrie last night, it was a record breaker.
Environment Canada says the mercury in Barrie hit -18 degrees last evening, just a bit shy of two degrees colder than the previous record for the date, set way back in 1932..

It was also pretty darn chilly across Muskoka, but not quite a record breaker. Almost. Muskoka tied its 2008 overnight temperature of 21 degrees last evening.
