Gateway Casino Innisfil and Casino Rama getting set to reopen, one earlier than the other

Innisfil location opening July 16, Rama on July 29

Two local gaming centres are getting ready to welcome back gamblers, but their reopening will be staggered.

Gateway Casinos and Entertainment says it will reopen all its facilities as of July 16, except for one: Casino Rama, which will reopen July 29.

All gaming centres will operate at 50 per cent capacity under provincial COVID-19 guidelines. PPE for staff, mandatory masking for guests, hand sanitation stations on the gaming floor, and plexiglass barriers are also required under these guidelines.

“We are excited to finally re-open casinos and community gaming centres across the province and welcome back our employees and valued customers into a very safe environment for gaming and dining. As always, the health and safety of our employees and customers are paramount,” said Tony Santo, CEO at Gateway Casinos. “We look forward to a safe and steady restart and the return to full operations as soon as possible.”

Gateway Casino – Innisfil will reopen at 12:01 a.m. on July 16, while Casino Rama will open as of 10 a.m. on July 29. Once reopened, both facilities will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
