Georgian Bay General Hospital Foundation says thank you to the community

Heartfelt thanks to the hospital, businesses and community

The Georgian Bay General Hospital Foundation is expressing gratitude and pride for how staff and the community have come together in the last couple of months.

Nicole Kraftscik Executive Director GBGH Foundation, says every member of the team is working tirelessly on the frontlines of this pandemic, showing up with a smile and going above and beyond to ensure that the hospital is safe, clean and prepared for whatever this pandemic throws our way.

Kraftscik says that local businesses have been supporting their local hospital through donations of personal protective equipment (PPE), beverages, meals, and snacks. “Our local businesses are showing how much they care about our community.”

Thanks to more than 85 businesses, individuals, and a matched donation by the Hubers, The hospitals #GivingTuesdayNow campaign has raised $79,397 which will go towards buying new beds for GBGH.

In addition, local photographers have come together to bring The Front Steps Project to the region, to raise more than $5,000 for the hospital’s fight to tackle COVID-19.
