The 102 Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron, or the Barrie Silver Fox, is once again hosting its Annual Parade and Review, celebrating all the hard work and accomplishments of the cadets over the past training year.
The aim of the Cadet Program is to develop the attributes of good citizenship and leadership, promote physical fitness, and stimulate the interest of youth in air activities of the Canadian Forces. The Air Cadet motto is “To learn. To serve. To advance.” There are programs to fit every interest, including athletes, outdoor enthusiasts, and even artists, thanks to activities like their music program.
If you've been wondering about whether the Cadets is right for your kids, the Annual Parade and Review might be the perfect way to get a sense of what exactly they will learn and what the Cadets are all about. The past year has been a particularly challenging one so finding out how to Cadets adapted and persevered will give you the inside scoop you're looking for.
The event will take place on June 5th at 9:00 a.m. and is open for anyone to watch over on the Barrie Silver Fox's YouTube channel.
