The next time we see the Ghostbusters, they'll be in the U.K.
Details are emerging about the "Ghostbusters: Afterlife" sequel, saying that a good chunk of it takes place in London.
"Afterlife" hit theatres in 2021, 37 years after the original, and reunited us with our heroes Winston Zeddemore, Ray Stantz, and Peter Venkman, along with the ghost of Egon Spengler.
The movie centred around a new cast but brought the old band back together for the final scenes.
In an interview with the Sun a spokesperson says they wanted the franchise to return to a big city."Studio bosses are taking a classic franchise, setting it in a new location but keeping the magic of the original. It's going to be brilliant."
The first two films were based in New York, while the first "Afterlife" film took place in Oklahoma.
The original cast is all part of the movie, including Bill Murray, Sigourney Weaver, Ernie Hudson and Dan Aykroyd.
The report says "The plans look very cool, and getting the original stars interested wasn't difficult. They all love the movies and look back at them very fondly."
I just hope we see more tiny "Stay Puft" marshmallow men.
The last update on the film said it's expected out December 2023.
