Forty-five years after it was first released, "God Save The Queen" has topped the U.K chart again.

The Sex Pistols classic reached number 1 on the U.K's streaming service, perfect timing for Queen Elizabeth II's 70th Jubilee.

The band re-released the once-controversial song on June 3rd, and it promptly shot to the top of the charts.

It's resurrection is also linked to the FX Series "Pistol," based on guitarist Steve Jones's memoir.

When first released in 1977, the BBC and the International broadcasting authority banned the song.

Despite that, the single still managed to chart.

Have a listen to the protest song below.
