Grass fire chews through at least 10-acres in Oro-Medonte

Fire Chief unable to confirm if fire started as a controlled burn

Fire crews battled a grass fire on Monday afternoon.

The call came in around two o'clock and centred on a field in the area of Line 10 South and Ridge Road East.

Fire Chief Hugh Murray was unable to confirm to Barrie 360 if the flames started as a controlled burn.

Murray said firefighters remain on the scene putting out hot spots.
