A woman suffered what the police said was a significant tear to her arm after she was attacked by a dog in Gravenhurst.
Around 4 p.m. on Monday, Bracebridge OPP say the woman left a home on Bethune Drive South that she had been visiting when she was attacked by the dog. The woman was in the company of children outside when the large dog came from a residence and took hold of her arm. She was taken to a local hospital and treated for her injuries.
The breed of the dog was not disclosed.
Police are working alongside the Gravenhurst by-law department and the Public Health Unit to conduct an investigation into the matter.
