Suspect sought following Gravenhurst stabbing and robbery

Victim has since been released from hospital

Police in Gravenhurst are on the hunt for a suspect after a violent home invasion Wednesday evening.

Police were told a man entered a home uninvited and began an argument with the residents, before stabbing a visitor to the home. The suspect is accused of stealing a piece of property before leaving the scene.

The 22-year-old stabbing victim has been treated at hospital and released.

The suspect has been identified as a 28-year-old from Gravenhurst. He is described as 5’8″ tall with dark skin and short hair, last seen wearing blue jeans, a white t-shirt and a dark hoodie. Members of the public are cautioned not to approach this subject and call police if he is spotted.
