Internet calls this couple greedy after the wedding non-invite asks people to join them in "Spirt"

A wedding invite has gone viral because it's not an invite at all.

The card says the bride and groom are getting married in a private ceremony in 2025, but it asks the recipients to join them in 'Spirt"

We assume they misspelled "Spirit," indicating they want people to send a gift.

People have been appalled since the card hit the internet, calling the gesture tacky and selfish.

A private ceremony is a great idea; smaller celebrations have been a preferred option lately. Still, you don't typically ask people not attending the wedding for gifts.
