Barrie police targeted guns and drugs in a five-month investigation that began in February and resulted in 11 search warrants and 13 people arrested, who are facing a total of 64 criminal charges.
Police say they seized five guns, drugs including fentanyl, meth, MDMA, and oxycodone, along with nearly $50,000 in cash.
"These results reflect the commitment of our officers and the importance of cross-unit coordination when targeting organized criminal activity. By disrupting the operations of individuals involved in firearm and drug trafficking, Barrie police continue to work proactively to ensure the safety and well-being of our community," police stated in a news release on Friday.
