Three youths charged for damage at Bracebridge cemetery

23 doors on the columbarium were damaged

UPDATE:

OPP say they received tips and information that led to the identities of the people responsible for damage at a Bracebridge cemetery.

Police say three people, whose ages are between 12-13 years, have been charged with mischief over $5,000.

Their identities are protected under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Police in Bracebridge are investigating an act of mischief at the St. Thomas Cemetery on Manitoba Street.

"Officers were called by a groundskeeper who reported the heartbreaking damage to 23 doors on the columbarium that occurred sometime between April 15-20, 2023," OPP said in a news release on Friday.
