A trio of drunk driving arrests for South Simcoe Police.
The three-peat performance began Wednesday afternoon when officers pulled a vehicle over along the 9th Line at 25th Sideroad of Innisfil, claiming they could detect signs of impairment from the driver. Police claim the 60-year-old man behind the wheel failed a roadside sobriety test, and was taken to the station for more tests. At the end of it all, its alleged the driver had three times the legal limit of booze in his system.
Around 8:30 Saturday morning, officers put another driver through a roadside test, with another failure reported. The 34-year-old Toronto man was arrested at the 8th Line near Highway 27, and later released with a future court date.
Sunday saw police stop a car before 8:00 in the morning, claiming it was speeding. The 30-year-old Midland woman behind the wheel was not only charged with drunk driving, but because police say they clocked her at speeds exceeding 50km above the posted limit, she was charged with Stunt Driving.
All three lost their licences for 90 days.
