(Updated) Sinkhole repaired, northbound Highway 11 reopened in Gravenhurst

Highway 11 northbound has reopened at Coopers Falls Road in Washago after work crews repaired a sinkhole in Gravenhurst.

Provincial police said the sinkhole occurred in the area of Rainbow Circle on Thursday afternoon.

Police said five vehicles were damaged.

Not all of them hit the sinkhole, according to OPP Constable Samantha Bigley.

She said some attempted to avoid it and hit other vehicles.

Bigley said one person was taken to hospital with minor injuries when their airbag deployed.
