A speedy motorist on Highway 11 caught the eye of provincial police and they now face a stunt driving charge.

Orillia OPP were patrolling the northbound lanes in Oro-Medonte on Friday when they say a 50-year-old Ramara Township woman was stopped for driving 157 km/hr in the posted 90 km/hr zone.

On top of the stunt driving charge, her licence has been suspended for 30 days and the vehicle impounded for 14 days.

"Drivers and members of the public are reminded to respect our communities, comply with all laws, and not jeopardize the safety of our citizens or our neighbourhoods with risky, illegal, and dangerous actions," OPP stated in a release.
