Saturday morning crash on HWY 400, Barrie man charged with impaired

A Barrie man has been charged with impaired driving after an early morning crash on Highway 400 this morning.

OPP Highway Safety Division posted on X that at around 5 a.m., they investigated the single-vehicle collision in the northbound lanes at Highway 89.

They say a 36-year-old was arrested.

Charges include impaired driving, obstructing a peace officer, and no insurance.

OPP say a 90-day license suspension was issued.
