Ontario Provincial Police have put St. Theresa's Catholic High School in Midland in hold and secure in "an abundance of caution" as a result of a nearby investigation.

Police say officers responded to a Frazer Drive residence shortly after nine Wednesday morning, resulting in the closure of the street between Rose Crescent and Park Avenue. Investigators have asked people to avoid the police perimeter.

Officers at the scene are being assisted by the OPP Emergency Response Team, Canine Unit, and Crime Unit in their investigation.

Police add that updates will be provided when available.
