Suspects sought in theft of tools from Home Hardware in Cookstown

Police say suspect's vehicle nearly struck an employee

South Simcoe Police have released security camera images in an effort to identify suspects in the theft of tools from a Cookstown store.

Around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021, police say two men entered the Home Hardware store and left with a number of tools without attempting to pay.

An employee was almost struck by the suspect’s vehicle which drove towards the worker as it left the parking lot. No one was injured.



Description of the suspects:

Suspect #1 – Male, white, brown hair, 5’10”, 180 lbs, 30-35 years old (vehicle driver)

Suspect #2 – Male, Black, black hair, black beard, 5’10, 180 lbs, 30-35 years old (passenger)
