December was a rough real estate market in Barrie.
According to the Barrie and District Association of Realtors (BDAR) there were 177 new listings last month compared to 418 in November, with 109 units sold in December compared to 192 the month previous.
The average price for a home was $715, 080 last month and $719,206 in November.
Year-over-year sales in Barrie were almost a copycat with 109 units sold in December compared to 111 for the same month in 2023.
The average price for a home in December 2023, according to BDAR, was $700,785.
