One person suffered what police said appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries following an assault at a plaza in Barrie on Monday morning.
Barrie police communications coordinator Jennett Mays told Barrie 360 that around 7:30 officers received a call about an assault in progress in the area of Anne Street and Dunlop Street West. Upon arrival, police said one person was located and transported to a local hospital.
"The investigation is ongoing, anyone with information is asked to contact police, and more details will be provided as the investigation permits," Mays added.
Police cleared the scene around 11:30 a.m.
