An investigation is underway into the cause of a house fire in Barrie.
Around 4 a.m. on Wednesday, firefighters were called to a residence on Geddes Crescent in the area of Livingstone Street West and Leacock Drive. When they got there, a fire official says crews were met with heavy flames in the garage and attic, and the fire did extend to a neighbouring garage.
The spokesperson told Barrie 360 that the occupants of the home got out safely.
A neighbour was accessed at the scene by paramedics but did not need to be transported to the hospital.
