Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say firefighters from Clearview and Springwater were dispatched to separate fires at two-storey homes on Wednesday.
The first blaze was called in around 11 a.m. for a residence on fire on County Road 10.
According to police, one person was home, but no one was injured.
The blaze was put out soon after Clearview firefighters arrived.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but it is not considered suspicious.
Then around 1 p.m. on Wednesday, police and Springwater firefighters were sent to a blaze at a home on Amelia Street in Elmvale.
One person and one animal were inside the home when the fire broke out, but neither was injured, according to OPP.
There is no cause for the fire.
Police added the blaze is not considered suspicious.
