The Iron Throne is the centre of family strife in the trailer for “House of the Dragon.”
HBO released the trailer for the prequel, set 200 years before the events of “Game of Thrones.”
Based on the George R.R Martin series “Fire & Blood,” “House of the Dragon” gives us a deeper look into the house Targaryen when they ruled Westeros with their powerful dragons.
Civil war breaks out in the family over the future heir, resulting in Westeros’ great houses turning against each other.
At some point, we see the destruction of the dragons, which will take centuries to see another, via Daenerys Targaryen in “Game of Thrones.”
Although there is a lot of talk about “Game of Thrones” spinoffs, this is the only confirmed one.
It hits HBO on August 21.
