House sales down, prices up last month in Barrie
Market was balancing over the year
Fewer houses sold in Barrie last month compared to November…but they sold for more.
More than 100 (103) homes changed hands – down from 167 the month before. The average selling price was up 2.4 percent to $464,193.
In Simcoe County, there was a 1% boost in the average price to $481,367 with a slight decline in units sold.

Year over year, sales were 20.4% in Barrie but prices were slightly higher (0.7%) at an average $485,815.
There was a 13.8% decline in sales in Simcoe County with an average price of $499,233 – 3.9% less than the average for 2017.
