Provincial police are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying a suspect and vehicle after a reported assault and robbery in Hunstville on Wednesday.
Hunstville OPP responded to a reported robbery at 2:53 p.m. at a condominium building on Deerhust Summit Drive involving a delivery driver.
Police say investigators discovered that a male suspect entered the building, assaulted the delivery driver, and stole a package valued at $5,000 before fleeing in a small teal or blue-grey sedan.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
The suspect is described as a Black male, between 35 and 45 years of age, between 5-10 and 6-0 in height, and between 150 and 180 pounds (roughly 68 to 81 kilograms). Their hair was also held back by a head covering or garment.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, observed a vehicle matching the description in the area, or has any surveillance from the time of the occurrence is being asked to contact Huntsville OPP.
