OPP

OPP say a 15-year-old was transported to a Toronto trauma centre after a collision between a dirt bike and a vehicle in Huntsville.

On Sunday around 3:20 p.m., police responded to a report of a serious two-vehicle crash on Centre Street.

"The collision involved a dirt bike and a passenger vehicle," OPP stated in a release. "The driver of the dirt bike, a 15-year-old local youth, was transported to local hospital and later transported to a Toronto area trauma center with life-threatening injuries."

Centre Street, near Caroline Street, was closed for several hours while collision reconstructionists measured and documented the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage is asked to contact Huntsville OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
