Huntsville OPP arrest Toronto man, seize cannabis, $4300, after traffic stop

A traffic stop in Huntsville by OPP led to an arrest of a Toronto man, and the seizure of cannabis and $4,300.

On Tuesday, April 12, just after 9:30 p.m., an officer was on patrol when they conducted a traffic stop on Highway 11 southbound in the Gryffin Lodge Rd. area.

Police say they seized $4,300 in cash which was tied to the sale of cannabis, and 39 grams of cannabis from the car.

OPP state that upon further investigation, they found out the driver was not complying with his release order on an unrelated criminal matter by being outside his residence without his surety.

As a result, a 36-year-old Toronto man faces numerous charges, including possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, not complying with a release order, and possession of over 30 grams of dried cannabis in a public place.

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing in Huntsville on Wednesday, April 13.
