Huronia West OPP arrest Wasaga Beach man in sexual assault investigations

Huronia West OPP have arrested a 23-year-old Wasaga Beach man in connection to sexual assault investigations.

Police said in a release today that it is alleged "in March 2025, the accused established contact with a young person, posing as 'Justin, 15yrs', using Snapchat, a popular online social media application, for the purposes of committing a criminal offence."

OPP also say "in the Fall of 2024, while in the area of Wasaga's Beach Area #1, the accused sexually assaulted a young person."

The accused was arrested on Friday, March 14, and charged with:

  • One count of Luring a Child
  • One count of Sexual Assault
  • One count of Sexual Interference

    He is scheduled to appear in Collingwood court on April 8.

    "Investigators are concerned there may be more victims," OPP added.

    "Any person with information regarding the person (or his online activities), associated to this investigation, should immediately contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122 or their nearest police authority."
