“I Love Barrie Contest” Winners Announced And Their Submissions Are Heart-Warming

"The Second You Come Here, You Feel That You Belong Here"

The “I Love Barrie Contest”, organized by Councillor Mike McCann, is a Ward 10 initiative that encourages youth to share their civic pride. Students are invited to learn about municipal government while reflecting on what they love most about the city that they call home.

The winners have been announced and their submissions are guaranteed to make you smile!

Students from Kindergarten-Grade 3 (Primary) were invited to submit art and Grades 4-6 (Junior) and 7-8 (Intermediate) were invited to submit 350-500 word essays. A winner was chosen from each level.
