Driver crashes into Alliston home after attempting U-turn in driveway, charged with impaired

Nottawasaga OPP responded to a single-vehicle collision in a residential area in Alliston on Tuesday night.

Police responded to the crash at 9:15 p.m. in the area of Swenson Street.

"Officers arrived on scene and learned that the driver had crashed into her residence after attempting a U-turn in her driveway," OPP stated.

"The driver was issued a Standardized Field Sobriety Test (SFST) and performed poorly."

OPP say a 54-year-old New Tecumseth woman was arrested for impaired driving by drugs and taken to a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) for further evaluation.

She was charged with:

  • Operation while Impaired - alcohol or drugs

She is scheduled to appear in Bradford court at a later date.
