Impaired driving-related charges were laid against a female driver late Friday night in Springwater Township during a R.I.D.E. program by Huronia West OPP.

Just after 11 p.m. Friday, police conducted a R.I.D.E. program on Mills Street East in Springwater. They looked over a vehicle and a driver that stopped for the spot check.

Officers were led to believe the driver, a 44-year-old from Oro-Medonte, was impaired by alcohol after speaking to her and she was arrested.

She was given a charge for impaired driving and is set to appear in court in Collingwood later this month.
