Of course, occasionally venting about your hectic schedule is fine, but when it's your go-to setting, you become annoying.
Researchers from the University of Georgia found people who frequently complain about their stressful work lives are seen as "less competent" and "less likable" by those around them.
In addition to being annoying, it's seen as a crying wolf, so your co-workers are less likely to help you when you truly need it.
Constant busy bragging is a stressor that others don't want to be around.
Researchers say people can lean on "stress bragging" to seem more important and better to their colleagues; instead, they are just more annoying.
If you truly need to vent, it's best to find a work buddy you can confide in because we all need some healthy venting occasionally.
