Barrie businesses are being asked to weigh in on how to better recover from the effects COVID-19 had on the local economy.
The City of Barrie is developing a COVID-19 Business Recovery Action Plan and need feedback to guide its framework. “Feedback from our business community and residents will drive the development of the City’s COVID-19 Business Recovery Action Plan to ensure we’re addressing what businesses actually need from the City to help them recover,” said Mayor Jeff Lehman. “We’re lucky in Barrie to have a strong, diverse business community and we look forward to working with them to develop creative solutions that will help advance our economic recovery.”
The action plan will be developed through consultation with local industry and stakeholders, as well as business leaders and the public at large. These groups are encouraged to have their say through the online survey established by Barrie City Hall. Deadline for submissions is May 24th

The plan will be designed to be adaptive to regulatory developments, according to the city, and should be drafted and ready to be presented to council for approval in June.
