"Having your non-seat belted passenger hold onto your beach toy just might end your joy, " said Southern Georgian Bay OPP Const. Dave Hobson on a Facebook post.

He confirmed there were three people from Brampton in the car. The driver was written up for having an insecure load, while the passenger who was trying to keep the floatie in place got a ticket for not wearing a seatbelt.

Hobson added that the group had to deflate the floatie and put it back in a box before they were allowed to hit the road again.
