South Simcoe police made an arrest following multiple break-ins and vehicle thefts at an automotive repair shop in Innisfil.
From June to October, the street crime unit conducted investigations into break-and-enters at the shop in the area of Innisfil Beach Road and Kate Avenue.
"The business was targeted for vehicle keys that had been dropped off by customers with the intention of having the vehicle serviced," police wrote in a media release.
"The vehicle keys were used to steal various motor vehicles from the property. The stolen vehicles were found abandoned in the area and recovered by police."
On Thursday, October 26, officers executed a search warrant at a residence in Innisfil where a suspect was arrested, and multiple items were seized.
A 35-year-old Innisfil man was charged with 24 offences including multiple counts of Break and Enter, Mischief, Theft, Theft of a Motor Vehicle, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
He was held for a bail hearing.
