Innisfil man charged with careless driving after hitting two pedestrians

Two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle in Innsifil Friday leading to a man being charged with careless driving by South Simcoe Police.

At approximately 4:50 p.m., police responded to a report of two people having been hit with a vehicle near Lawson Street and Boyes Street.

Police and emergency services both arrived to the scene and the two struck were brought to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The 48-year-old male driver of the vehicle from Innisfil remained on-scene. He was charged with careless driving.

Highway Traffic Act s.130(1)

Every person is guilty of the offence of driving carelessly who drives a vehicle or street car on a highway or in a specified place without due care and attention or without reasonable consideration for other persons using the highway or specified place.
