Driver dead after police respond to vehicle 'flipped over in a ditch and submerged in water' in Innisfil

Arrest made in Bradford shootings

The South Simcoe Police Service is appealing for information following a fatal crash in Innisfil this morning.

"At approximately 5:20 a.m., police responded to a report of a single motor vehicle flipped over in a ditch and submerged in water on the 10th Sideroad south of the 3rd Line," police stated in a release.

"Once on scene, police located the driver and lone occupant of the vehicle without vital signs. Despite life-saving efforts by officers at the scene, the victim was pronounced deceased after being transported to hospital."

A collision reconstruction was done by the traffic and marine unit.

Roads in the area were closed for several hours but have since been reopened.
