Power outages
While significant progress has been made in restoring power to residents, power outages in some areas of Innisfil remain an issue. Residents are asked to follow InnPower Corporation on social media for status updates and report concerns using the utility’s reporting tool options.
Debris collection and drop-off
To assist residents with the sizable amount of debris, the County of Simcoe’s waste facilities are accepting unbundled brush, large branches, and logs until April 28. Disposal rates have been waived for these materials.
Visit the County of Simcoe’s website or download the Simcoe County Collects app to confirm leaf and yard waste pick-up schedules and how brush and branches can be bundled for pick-up. If further assistance is needed to clean up private property, it’s recommended to reach out to a local tree service. If homeowners incurred property damage due to storm impacts, they are encouraged to contact their insurance company for guidance.
The Town of Innisfil’s Significant Weather Event declaration remains in place until further notice. For more information on Innisfil’s ice storm response and what to do after a power outage, visit innisfil.ca/IceStorm.
