Innisfil IdeaLAB & Library now accepting returns but is holding off on curbside service for now

Returned items will remain in quarantine for 72 hours before staff check it in

Time to dust off those returns due back at the Innisfil IdeaLAB & Library.

As of today, all branches of the Innisfil Public Library will accept returns of any outstanding materials, including books and movies. However, these branches will remain closed to the public for the time being, as staff work on checking in materials as they’re returned.

There will be no fines for late returns, and there is no pressure to return items at this time. Any material returned will remain in quarantine for 72 hours before library staff checks it in.

Curbside pickup will be introduced at a later date

“Everything we have done and will continue to do will be in close consultation with the best practices set out by the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit so that we continue to keep our community and staff safe,” says Susan Baues, acting CEO of the Innisfil ideaLAB & Library. “We have put new measures in place to accept returns, including making sure materials are quarantined for 72 hours and that we have a dedicated space available to hold materials during this period.”

An announcement regarding the library offering curbside pickup to Innisfil residents is expected in the coming weeks. Those who wish to take advantage of future curbside options are encouraged to hold on to their overdue items for now.
