Innisfil man accused of harassing, threatening woman

Woman reached out to police about unwanted contact

Police have charged an Innisfil man after a woman claims she was subjected to repeated, unwanted contact.

The woman reached out to South Simcoe Police on Monday to report she’d received the undesired communications from a man known to her. The 28-year-old suspect was contacted by police and turned himself in on Tuesday.

The suspect was arrested and charged with Criminal Harassment and Uttering Threats.

“Criminal harassment, more commonly known as stalking, can be defined as harassing behaviour including repeatedly following, communicating with or watching over one’s home.” according to a South Simcoe Police statement. “If you are a victim or know someone who is, we urge you to report it to police.”
