The suspect sustained minor injuries.
Police added that a handgun was recovered at the scene.
Investigators say the pickup truck driven by the suspect was stolen in Toronto on September 9.
The accused is facing weapons and firearm offences, and one charge each of dangerous operation of a vehicle and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
Police say they are linking this incident to two other shootings that occurred in Vaughan last weekend. A third incident is also being considered as potentially connected. The suspect vehicle, a dark-coloured sedan, that was seen in all three incidents, remains outstanding.
