Innisfil man charged with impaired driving after vehicle rollover

An Innisfil man faces impaired driving charges following a single-vehicle rollover crash on Sunday afternoon.

South Simcoe police responded to the crash in the area of 7th Line and 20th Sideroad at around 4 p.m.

"The driver was arrested for impaired operation," police stated in a release. "He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries."

The 31-year-old was charged with operation while impaired, and operation while impaired - excess blood alcohol.

His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.

"Alcohol - even one drink - and many drugs can impair your ability to drive safely. Make the right choices and help prevent tragedies. Always drive sober to ensure you arrive alive and protect the lives of other motorists and pedestrians," police added.
