Innisfil senior reported missing is located safe: police

UPDATED: A good news ending to the search for an Innisfil senior with Alzheimer's disease who was reported missing.

In a post to X Tuesday evening, South Simcoe Police said the 73-year-old man has been located safe.

Police thanked York Regional Police and the public for their assistance.

South Simcoe Police are seeking the public's assistance to locate a 73-year-old man with Alzheimer's disease who was reported missing from Innisfil.

They say Federico Drogo was last seen around 9:45 a.m. on Monday, leaving his home in the area of Webster Boulevard and the 6th Line.

He is believed to be driving a 2015, white, four-door, Hyundai Elantra, with Ontario licence BVPS842.

Drogo was last believed to be in the Rutherford Road and Velmar Drive area of Woodbridge around 5:15 Monday afternoon.

He also has diabetes, according to police, and requires medication.

Drogo is described as 5’5″, 200 lbs, grey, short hair, brown eyes, glasses, possibly wearing a blue winter jacket.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Federico Drogo is asked to contact the South Simcoe Police Service at 905-775-3311 or 705-436-2141.
