Innisfil's own Anna Goldsmith has been busy doing what she loves, making music.
The 15-year-old singer and songwriter has just released her latest single, "Go" in which she explains how she approaches situations in her life.
"The song is about just going for it and being yourself, no matter what others tell you, which is what most of my songs are about."
"But particularly, there's the lyric, 'three, two, one' in there. It's what I say to myself when I'm nervous about talking to someone or during my performances. Once I say it, I get up and 'GO' for it." Anna explains.
In addition to her latest song and accompanying video, Anna has a full schedule of performances over the next few months, and that's how she likes it.
"I feel like when I have a break, I just get bored, and then I'll start songwriting again," she laughs.
"It's great to have breaks, but I'm a go, go, go, go kind of person. It's good that I'm having a packed summer because I will meet new people and have a good time.
Anna is not alone when she's on the move, as her parents are always by her side.
"If something gets cancelled, I relish it," her mom Sarah McDonald jokes.
"I get so thankful and relieved when there's a break, and we just embrace it because downtime is nice."
Even though Anna's drive keeps her busy, McDonald says she loves watching her daughter do what she loves.
"It's really cool to see such a young kid accomplishing her dreams already. She's very driven, knows what she wants, and works hard to do it. And it's really special to be part of that." McDonald says.
Anna is scheduled to play at the
Moon Cafe & Craft Beer in Alcona on May 26.
The El Mocambo in Toronto on June 1.
Onion Fest in Innisfil on June 24.
Riff Mudder in Stayner on June 25.
