Ivan Reitman dies at age 75

Ghostbusters Director and Producer Ivan Reitman has died.

His family says the 75-year-old Canadian passed away in his sleep at his California home on the weekend.

Reitman was born in Czechoslovakia and raised in Toronto. After University he met Dan Aykroyd and the two became lifelong collaborators.

His first major production was the 1978 comedy "National Lampoons Animal House," starring SNL star John Belushi.

"Meatballs" followed in 1979 and "Stripes" in 1980.

In 1984 his biggest hit came. "Ghostbusters" starred Bill Murray, Harold Ramis, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Rick Moranis, and Sigourney Weaver.

The sequel followed in 1989, followed by a re-boot in 2016.

Several comedies followed in the '90s, including "Twins," "Kindergarten Cop," and "Junior," starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Other family hits like "Beethoven" and "Space Jam" followed.

In 2009, he co-produced "Up in the Air" starring George Clooney.

Super Bowl Halftime Show was that damn good

Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige and 50 Cent took over California’s SoFi Stadium during the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show.

Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre kicked off the nearly 14-minute-long performance, while Mary J. Blige performed her hits “Family Affair” and “No more drama.”

Towards the end, Eminen had an explosive entrance and performed “Lose yourself” just before Dr. Dre sat behind a piano to play the iconic first notes of “California Love.” A song he and the late Tupac Shakur performed together in 1995.

Super Bowl Commercials (the other reason we watch the big game)

The Super Bowl is always good for a rebirth of fun commercials.

A few that stood out this year included the recreation of the opening of “The Sopranos.”

The commercial for Chevrolet features Meadow Soprano and AJ soprano reuniting after a drive on the New Jersey turnpike.

Nothing is better than Larry David making fun of Larry David. This commercial for Cryptocurrency shows David turning down some of the best inventions ever created.

We see him reject the fork, the wheel, and the toilet through flashbacks. So, will he pass on Cryptocurrency?

Check out David’s first commercial.

For Dr. Evil to destroy the world, he must first save it.

General Motors used Dr. Evil to advertise their new line of electric vehicles.

The commercial brings back Mick Myers, Seth Green, Rob Lowe, and Mindy Sterling reprising their Austin Powers characters.

Because the number one threat to the world is no longer Dr. Evil, it's climate change.
